Father/Daughter Valentine Dance

These goobers couldn't keep a straight face long enough for
me to take the traditional "presenting of the corsage" photo!
If you've ever read my Facebook posts or seen my blog posts, you know that the annual Father/Daughter Valentine Dance at our church is one of the absolute highlights of my year. It should be about Chris taking the girls for a special outing without me, but it's really about the beautiful dresses, the flowers, the excitement & anticipation (mine!). For them, it's about being almost miserably dressed for a couple of hours but being able to eat all the cookies they can stomach, as well as graciously accepting the compliments that come their way. Bailey runs around with her friends more than she dances with her daddy, which is fine since Chris isn't much of a dancer anyway. All in all, they do this to appease me and to allow me to live out some fantasy that is very important to me. That's OK, because these are the kinds of memories that last a lifetime, and what could be better than that!!
