Father/Daughter Valentine Dance

These goobers couldn't keep a straight face long enough for
me to take the traditional "presenting of the corsage" photo!
If you've ever read my Facebook posts or seen my blog posts, you know that the annual Father/Daughter Valentine Dance at our church is one of the absolute highlights of my year. It should be about Chris taking the girls for a special outing without me, but it's really about the beautiful dresses, the flowers, the excitement & anticipation (mine!). For them, it's about being almost miserably dressed for a couple of hours but being able to eat all the cookies they can stomach, as well as graciously accepting the compliments that come their way. Bailey runs around with her friends more than she dances with her daddy, which is fine since Chris isn't much of a dancer anyway. All in all, they do this to appease me and to allow me to live out some fantasy that is very important to me. That's OK, because these are the kinds of memories that last a lifetime, and what could be better than that!!

Happy Birthday to Me!!

My delicious dulce de leche birthday cake
from Magpies.

The AWESOME book sweet Bailey picked out for me! She
know how much I LOVE my music & how important it is to me.
Chris took me to the Melting Pot and we enjoyed a delicious
dinner! This is the Yin Yang chocolate fondue we had.

I had such a great birthday dinner with my friends at Altruda's!
Mozzarella Marinara at Maggiano's in Atlanta - to die for!!
Chicken & Truffle Tortelloni - creamy decadence!
Birthday lemon cookies - one of my faves!

I enjoyed lots of delicious food, freebies, and even a quick trip to Atlanta for my birthday! The best part was going to my favorite craft store, Archivers, and discovering a new paper store, Paper-Source. I loaded up on delicious supplies from these wonderful retailers!! As you can tell from my pics, I also enjoyed quite a few delicious meals and sweet treats during my week-long celebration - Bravo, Altruda's The Melting Pot, Maggiano's - and a fantastic cake from Magpies. Yum, yum, and more yum!! Looks like 29 isn't going to be so bad after all (ahem!!)!!
