All I Do is PEE!!

Aren't you excited to hear another story of a personal nature from me?!?! Well, if you've never been pregnant, you may not realize the unbelievable amount of stress a growing baby puts on your bladder. And if your bladder happens to be the size of the Grinch's heart (two sizes two small!!) like mine is, you are in for a rude awakening! I sat outside with Bailey the other day for 30 minutes waiting for a friend to pick her up and I had to come inside to the bathroom 3 TIMES! And now that I have discovered Diet Cherry Limeade at Sonic in the GIANT Route 44 size, my summer is going to be spent in every restroom in town! Sounds like fun, doesn't it?

See you soon!!

Perpetual Wedgie

I'm sure you are waiting with bated breath to find how what THAT title is about! Well, it's just what you think . . . I HATE MATERNITY UNDERWEAR!! Actually, I hate my underwear in general. It refuses to stay in place and it's really starting to annoy. I'm not exactly sure what's wrong with the brand-new maternity underwear I just bought, but it will hardly make it till my 9th month - there is definitely going to be a coverage issue before too long! I've seen and heard about maternity thongs and, even with my current underwear woes, I still have to LAUGH HYSTERICALLY every time I think about that concept. Those of you who are petite and wear thongs anyway will marvel at my disbelief, but you regular folk will surely understand. So, apparently, unless I invest in custom-made undies, I am destined to have a 9-month perpetual wedgie!

See you soon!

I Hate My Big Feet

If you don't have big feet (characterized as larger than size 10), count your blessings right now. Go on . . . I'll wait . . . I wear a size 11ish and usually those aren't very comfortable. I wear Merrells all winter and flip-flops all summer, except that I can't find those cute little fancy flip-flops in a comfortable size. The straps always seem to cut into some crazy nerve in my foot. I had to return the cutest Yellow Box flip-flops today for that very reason. And forget heals - it's just not happenin'! What's even worse is that the last time I was pregnant (10 years ago!!), my feet grew a size!! If that happens this time, I guess I'll have to start wearing my husband's shoes! YIKES!! So, while you're shopping and wearing the hottest & cutest new shoes of the season, think of poor me in my 10-year-old Tevas and count your blessings . . . again!

See you soon!!

16 Week Doctor Visit

Today, we finally met my doctor (who we love!!) and got to listen to the baby's heartbeat again!! It's always exciting! 155 beats per minute - very strong, the doctor said. And, I've lost 5 more pounds, which is practically miraculous after all we ate in NYC last week!! We'll get to find out the gender on May 5 - Cinco de Mayo, baby!! So, we'll probably celebrate with a little Mexican food that night. Although, it if hits me the way Salsarita's and Rosa Mexicano did, I may have to pass. :( Chips and salsa are about as adventurous as I get these days! Although, Chris and I did go to Red Lobster after my appointment today and I had yummy mango/jalapeno shrimp!! It was so funny that he got the $30 lobster platter and I got the $8 shrimp skewers!! And we both got dessert, which we NEVER do so, needless to say, I'm not very hungry tonight. I am loving this warm weather we're having and I'm so glad I bought maternity Capri cargo pants and several maternity T-shirts. And I'm getting a pedicure tomorrow so my pigs will be beautiful in those flip flops I love! WOO HOO!!!

See you soon!!

WE'RE HOME!!!

After 15 hours on the road yesterday, we finally made it home from our New York adventure! We had the best time but we are pooped! Of course, all that driving and all that walking in the city really took its toll on my pregnant body. Oh, and there was that one wonderful meal that nearly killed me! We went to Rosa Mexicano one night and had delicious guacamole made tableside. It was sooooooo good . . . that I ate waaaaaaaay too much . . . and was sick afterward!! It was so very sad, because it was such a great meal. And then there was the cab ride that "drove" me to tears!! Luckily, that was our only scary transportation episode. We even rode the subway successfully several times, thanks to my darling husband! We really had a wonderful time and covered a lot of territory . . . and ate many more fantastic meals and sweet treats!! The next time you're in NYC, do not miss the Frrrrrozen Hot Chocolate at Serendipity 3 - the most amazing concoction ever!!

See you later!!
